Make accept, reject, or revision decisions on papers

When to Make Decisions

Once all required reviews are complete (or if no reviews are required), you can make a final decision on the paper. The decision determines whether the paper is accepted, rejected, or requires revisions.

Accessing the Decision Interface

1. Go to Theme Leader Dashboard

Access the conference and select your theme leader role.

2. Open "Ready for Decision" Tab

Find papers that have completed their required reviews.

3. View Reviews Summary

Click on a paper to see all reviews and make your decision.

Decision Options

Accept

Paper is approved for publication. The review process is complete.

Use when: Reviews are positive and no changes are needed.

Reject

Paper is not accepted. The review process is complete.

Use when: Paper has fundamental issues or doesn't fit the conference.

Minor Revisions

Author must make small changes and resubmit.

Use when: Paper is good but needs formatting or minor corrections.

Major Revisions

Author must make significant changes and resubmit for re-review.

Use when: Paper has potential but needs substantial improvements.

Decision Notes

You can add notes to explain your decision. These are shared with the author.

"The reviewers have recommended minor revisions. Please address the methodology concerns raised by Reviewer 2 and improve the clarity of Section 4 as suggested by Reviewer 1..."

After the Decision

If Accepted or Rejected

  • Author is notified by email
  • Status updates in the system
  • Review process is complete

If Revisions Requested

  • Author is notified by email
  • Paper upload is re-enabled
  • New review cycle begins when revised
